Results from the National Health Service (NHS) General Practitioner (GP) Patient Survey 2023 show Cheam GP Centre’s patients are unsatisfied with the service for booking appointments that it has provided in the last year.
According to the GP Patient Survey, 21 percent (less than half of the national average) of people find it easy to get through to this GP Practice by phone.
Whereas 89% of people in the highest scoring GP in Sutton (Grove Road) found it easy to get through to this GP practice by phone.
Patients suffering one or more long term conditions have found it particularly difficult to get through to Cheam GP Centre by phone, only 15% of their patients found it easy.
Patients with long term conditions usually have a preferred practitioner that are very aware of their illness or illnesses, but only 26% from Cheam GP usually get to see or speak to their preferred GP when they would like to.
Cheam GP Centre’s website has a “have your say” page where patients are able to list their suggestions and complaints, so it appears they are aiming to improve their services.
A member of administration at Cheam GP Centre said the practice manager has recently returned from bereavement leave, as a result they are currently unable to comment on the recent results of the survey.
