In the past decade there have been numerous debates about how valuable university is to secure a job and achieve success.
According to Ofqual, A-Level Students who achieved pass grades C and above have declined by 6.7% since last year.
The question about the importance of going to university has been raised again with fewer students being able to achieve grades adequate for their chosen University.
We asked the public their thoughts about the importance of university.

Mohumed Shiraz, 33, restaurant manager, said: “I have a degree in Engineering, but I work in the hospitality industry as engineering jobs are still hard to get.
“Jobs such as hospitality are easy to get, even with no qualification. I have no degree in hospitality but I’m managing a restaurant.”
Jon Hibbard, 61, charted surveyor, said: “Firstly what’s your definition of success, is University necessary for money or a particular qualification.
“If it’s in terms of career then no. I didn’t go to university, but I’m professionally qualified and have my own business.
“My success is largely bound in my faith and my relationship with God.”
Annabelle Knight, 25, said: “It’s worthwhile if you know what you want to do.
“If I went, I would have done politics. I didn’t really want to be a politician, so I would have been in lots of debt for no reason.”
Kiran Jayaprakash, 41, who works in finance said: “I would say University is not a requirement.
“Unfortunately, a lot of jobs require a degree, so it certainly helps.
“Initially you may struggle without one, but after you gain some experience, I think it’s a fairly level playing field.”
Callum Bolger, 24, said: “You can do apprenticeships, at the end of the day university is not for everyone.
“At the moment, university is too expensive, and you can do an apprenticeship for much cheaper and be paid for it.”
